No. Casual matches, Open Play, Group Play, clubs, venues, friends and sharing are all free, with the same limits as Pro. Pro is for Verified matches, ratings, rank badges and leaderboards.
Yes. Anyone can referee a Verified match. Taking a team spot in one needs Pro.
With Pro, play five Verified games. Your starting rating and rank badge arrive after the fifth, and every Verified game after that moves them.
You keep the rating you earned. It stops moving and drops off the leaderboard until you're back on Pro.
