Effective date: October 7, 2026
These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone on Pick & Paddle, on the court and in the app. They add detail to the community rules in our Terms of Use. If something isn't covered here, use good judgment and treat other players the way you'd want to be treated.
Play fair
- Enter the real score, win or lose, and only add players who actually played.
- Use one account. Don't make extra accounts to play yourself, boost a rating or get around a suspension.
- Don't trade wins, throw matches or arrange results to move ratings, leaderboards or achievements.
- Give commendations because someone earned them, not as a favour or a trade.
- If you referee a Verified match, call it as you see it, even when your friends are playing.
- If a score is wrong, fix it or tap Report a problem before the match settles. Don't report a fair result just because you lost.
Check in honestly
- Only check in when you are actually at the venue.
- Don't share a venue's daily PIN or a court QR code with people who aren't there.
- Don't fake or spoof your location.
Respect everyone
- No harassment, bullying or threats, on court or in the app.
- No hate or insults aimed at someone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No sexual, explicit, violent or graphic content.
- Keep trash talk friendly. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
- Don't pretend to be another player, a venue, a club or Pick & Paddle.
Your profile and photos
- Choose a username, display name and profile photo you'd be comfortable showing at the venue. No offensive names or images.
- Only post photos you took or have the right to share, and don't post photos of other people without their permission.
Clubs
- Keep club announcements, polls and comments about the club and the game.
- No spam, scams, chain posts or selling that the club hasn't allowed.
- Club owners and admins: set clear club rules, treat members fairly, and take down posts that break these guidelines.
- If your club charges fees, say clearly how much and what they are for. Fees are paid to the club directly, outside the app.
Respect privacy
- Don't share anyone's phone number, address, email or other personal details without their permission.
- Don't post photos or screenshots of other players to embarrass them.
- Pick & Paddle has no private messaging. If you swap contact details to arrange games, only share what you are comfortable with.
Stay safe
- Play at venues and follow each venue's rules and staff.
- Warm up, play within your limits, and stop if you get hurt.
- Pick & Paddle is for players 18 and over.
Report and block
- Report or block a player: on the Friends page, find them in your list or search for them, tap the ••• button, then choose Report player or Block player.
- In a club: press and hold a member in the club's member list and tap Report. To report a comment, tap the ••• on the comment and tap Report.
- A wrong score: tap Report a problem on the match screen before the match settles.
- Anything else: email support@pickandpaddle.com.
Blocking ends any friendship or friend request between you, and you stop appearing in each other's search results and club member lists. The player is not notified when you report them. Our team reviews every report. Please don't make false reports to get back at someone.
If the guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious it is, and whether it has happened before, we may:
- remove a post, comment, photo or name;
- correct or remove a match result, and adjust the ratings, leaderboards or achievements it affected;
- remove check-ins made by breaking these rules;
- give a warning;
- suspend the account for a set time;
- ban the account.
We may report serious threats or illegal activity to the authorities. If you think we got a decision wrong, email support@pickandpaddle.com and a person will look at it again.
